STAFFING COMMITTEE

 

Minutes of the Staffing committee meeting held on Monday 11 September 2023, opened at 18:00 at Theddlethorpe Village Hall, Silver Street, Theddlethorpe All Saints.

 

Parish Councillors present: Cllrs S Goodley, A Beet, A Spink, D Sear and N Barker

 

Also, present Parish Clerk: Mrs S Bristow

 

Item SC09/23-01   Election of a Committee Chair

 

It was RESOLVED to elect Cllr N Barker as Chair of the Staffing Committee

 

Item SC09/23-02 Apologies and acceptance of absence

 

None

 

Item SC09/23-03 Declarations of Pecuniary Interest from members in accordance with Localism Act 2011

 

None

 

 

Item SC09/23-04 To hear a request from the Clerk regarding an increase in monthly hours

 

The committee RESOLVED to increase the Clerk’s monthly billed hours to 20 (up from 18).

 

 

Item SC09/23-05     To resolve to exclude the public and media to discuss confidential items relating to individuals and confidential financial matters in accordance with The Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960

 

A)       To review the Clerk’s current contract

B)       To consider updating the Clerk’s contract to reflect more closely the NALC model

 

The Committee RESOLVED to recommend to full council that a new contract, based on the SLCC/NALC model be drawn up for the Clerk. The committee further RESOLVED to propose to realign the Clerk’s wages to NJC scale point 14 or 15, at the next full council meeting.
